My first android app
My first app!
Yesterday I made my first app! I used my favorite javascript framework (Vue.js) along with Quasar framework. I watched a video from Danny Connell. It teaches how to make multiplatform apps using Vue.js.
In that video he built an application in half an hour! I wanted to try it so I realized to make an app for the radiographers at my Institution. According to italian law we defined in a document the radiological exams that could give to foetus less or more than 1 mSv (equivalent dose). But in the real-time every-day practice, we may not have time to search for documents (printed / online). I tought that an android app would be useful.
I created the app as a web application using javascript. The user have to search for the esam (using the name of the exam and/or some keyword. Than after selecting the exam the app tells if the dose to uterus/foetus is likely to be lesser or greater than 1 mSv.
I developed on Chrome browser and after working a bit for filtering correctly the list of examinations, I managed to make it work.
I then built an apk using a single command from Quasar Command Line Interface.. tranfered the apk file to my phone and... Nothing! (argh!) So ...reading carefully the Quasar documentation I realized I had to sign the apk using a (somewhat) tricky procedure. After signing the apk I copied again to my phone and...boom! It worked!
